Felix Astra (Lucky Star) is watercolor on watercolor canvas. I enjoyed the process of painting this one so much more than I can say. I had picked flowers that kept me company as I painted, and within a couple hours, her face appeared. It was a challenge to finish her because unlike many paintings, I liked so many of the versions leading up to to the finished product… I was nervous to continue adding to her in case the next layer was not as good as the last. But I am glad I kept going, because I am so pleased with the result.
